What Is World AMR Awareness Week & Why It Matters to You
From 18-24 November 2025, the world marks World AMR Awareness Week, a global campaign led by the World Health Organization (WHO) to highlight the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR happens when germs — like bacteria or viruses — change over time and stop responding to our medicines, meaning common infections can become harder, or sometimes even impossible, to treat.
